“To ask the Manager to report on the number of boarded up Council houses in Dublin 15?”

 Reply:

The report to the CastleknockMulhuddart Area Committee meeting on the 28th October 2010 indicated that there were 35 boarded dwellings in the Dublin 15 area. There are presently 20 boarded dwellings in the Dublin 15 area representing 1% of the total housing stock for the area. Since October 2010, there has been a significant reduction in the number of boarded dwellings.

 With regard to the dwellings boarded at present, re – let repairs are completed in 2 of the dwellings and these will be occupied shortly.  1 is not available for re -let repair owing to legal issues with the tenancy. The other 17 dwellings are at varying stages in the re – let repair programme.
